Anyone who has talked with me knows I constantly promote "use what you know." It is one of the best ways to get started. Write about your experience which will build your credibility.

What to include / how to create an ebook

• Write something worth reading
• Put it into MS Word or a similar word processor.
• Change your page layout to wide.
• Use a font that is widely used such as Ariel or Times
• Include a bold, large title headline
• Create an 'about' page within your ebook that links to your website.
• Put your url in the header or footer of each page.
• At the end of the ebook, create a recommended reading or useful links page within the ebook that can go to different pages of your website, other websites that post your link or just resourceful websites you recommend.

Once you have written it you will need to put the ebook into a downloadable file.


Free software you can use to make your ebook with:

1. Ebook Builder 4 - Ebook builder 4 allows you to create ebooks out of any HTML page. If you know how to create a HTML pages, then all you need to do is import those pages into Ebook builder and it creates the exe file for you.

2. eBook Maestro FREE - This free ebook creator makes downloadable exe files from webpages. Of course the free version is limited, but is still useful in creating basic ebooks that are to be used for promotional purposes on download sites.

3. Activ Ebook is a compiler that lets you make free books for distribution.


Where to promote your ebook


1. Download.com - Click on the submit software link at the bottom of Download

2. eBook Directory is a website that will list your ebook for free. Search for the category that your ebook will suit and click the link that says "submit ebook" on the left side.

3. Free eBooks is one of the largest free ebook directories on the net and a great place to start promoting your website.

4. Google Book Search is a book search engine.

5. Email websites and offer it to them for free as a free give away to their customers and or readers. Everyone likes a freebie.
