What is microblogging?



Microblogging is a type of blogging similar to Twitter. You can share links, images, quotes and general information about your website(s). Mico blogging gives customers a little window into the person behind the business.


  • Go to Jaiku
  • Click on Join Now
  • Fill out the form
  • Click on Sign Up – this will take you to a log in page.
  • Log in --Once you log in you will be directed to a new Jaiku window that says you have 3 steps to complete.
  • Click on Start Add your photo or a picture you prefer
  • Chose the option of being able to send messages from your cell phone. If you know how to send a text message from your phone you will need to send a text message to 30300. The text message should read
    Sign in {your screen name}{password}
    Click on Send
  • Add your friends and contacts from your email
  • Click on Start using Jaiku

Don’t forget to confirm your email address.

Fill out your mico blogging profile with your website and business information


Network / talk with other micro blog users


Be personal


Post quality links and resources


Add quality micro bloggers as a Friend / Follower


Invite contacts from your email or networking group


List your micro blog profile address to your business card


List your micro blog profile address to other communities you belong to such as MySpace.
